First factoring contracts were signed in December 2006 when AOFI started with export receivables buying business. Factoring is a new form of financing through which AOFI makes it possible for the exporter selling its goods with deferred payment term to obtain funds immediately after performed export and in this way solve the problem of prolonged collection periods.
